MEDITERRANEAN SEA (Sept. 18, 2017) – Sailors with the America Amphibious Ready Group, prepare a UH-1Y Huey for flight aboard USS San Diego (LPD 22). The 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit and America Amphibious Ready Group perform flight training to ensure they are trained and prepared as a maritime crisis-contingency force. USS San Diego (LPD 22) is deployed with the America Amphibious Ready Group and 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit to support maritime security operations and theater security cooperation efforts in the U.S. 6th Fleet area of operations.
