III Marine Expeditionary Force   

Marines from Marine Medium Helicopter Squadron 265, Marine Aircraft
Group 36, 1st Marine Air Wing, III Marine Expeditionary Force, load 1,000 pounds of water onto a CH-46E Sea Knight Helicopter to be transported to areas of Japan affected by the
earthquake and tsunami March 23. The squadron has delivered more than 100,000 pounds of food, fuel, water and supplies to distribution sites throughout the damaged areas of Japan. The government of Japan is leading the relief efforts conducted in Japan. The Marine Corps is ready
and responding to requests by the Japanese government to support the humanitarian assistance.
