VIRGINIA BEACH, VA (September 26, 2017) - A Mark VI patrol boat gets under way during a visit by Maj. Gen. David Coffman, director of Expeditionary Warfare, Office of the Chief of Naval Operations. Coffman's visit to Navy Expeditionary Combat Command (NECC) was an opportunity to see equipment and capabilities of it various communities. NECC organizes, mans, trains, equips and sustains Navy Expeditionary Combat Forces to execute combat, combat support, and combat service support missions across the full spectrum of naval, joint, and combined operations.
