Michael Hayes an artillery radar mechanic with Combat Logistics Battalion 15, the 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit’s Logistics Combat Element selects food during a steel beach event aboard USS Pearl Harbor (LSD 52). The steel beach event provides an opportunity for service members to foster camaraderie. The 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit is embarked on the America Amphibious Ready Group and is deployed to maintain regional security in the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations.
