U.S. Air Force Lt. Col. Javier Ramos, 156th Airlift Wing, Puerto Rico Air National Guard, explains the role a navigataor plays in reading maps and using radar and other methods to guide pilots safely to their destination during combat and non-combat missions. Ramos returned to duty three days after Hurricane Maria swept through the island of Puerto Rico and has continued to fulfill the mission of the Air National Guard even as he is managing recovery efforts for himself and his family.
