Steven Stacy, left, Southern Partnership Station 17 (SPS 17) mission commander, leads Soldiers and Marines assigned to Joint Task Force Leeward Islands (JTF-LI) onto the expeditionary fast transport vessel USNS Spearhead (T-EPF 1). JTF-LI deployed to Sint Maarten to assist in humanitarian aid and disaster relief efforts after Hurricane Irma hit the island. SPS 17 is a U.S. Navy deployment executed by U.S. Naval Forces Southern Command/U.S. 4th Fleet, focused on subject matter expert exchanges with partner nation militaries and security forces in Central and South America.
