Camp Pendleton (September 29, 2017) Col. Clay C. Tipton the Commanding Officer of the 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit, leads his Marines and Sailors through a dirt trail during the conditioning hike on Camp Pendleton, California. The purpose of the conditioning hike is to target key areas, which are involved with propelling the body forward while also improving cardiovascular fitness, endurance, flexibility, strength and most importantly unit cohesion.
