Evans exchange salutes during a change of command ceremony held onboard the aircraft carrier USS George H. W. Bush (CVN 77). Evans relieved Whitesell as Commander, Carrier Strike Group Two during the ceremony, held in the ship's hanger bay. The ship is in port Norfolk, Virginia, conducting routine maintenance after a seven-month deployment in support of maritime security operations and theater security cooperation efforts in the U.S. 5th and 6th Fleet areas of responsibility.
