Maintainers from the 96th Aircraft Maintenance Unit remove a panel from a B-52 Stratofortress while deployed to RAF Fairford, United Kingdom, Sept. 26, 2017. The deployment of strategic bombers to the United Kingdom helps exercise RAF Fairford as U.S. Air Forces in Europe’s forward operating location for bombers. The deployment will also include joint and allied training to improve bomber interoperability. Training with joint partners, allied nations and other U.S. Air Force units contributes to our ready and postured forces and enables us to build enduring and strategic relationships necessary to confront a broad range of global challenges.
