U.S. Marines with Marine Wing Support Squadron (MWSS) 171 react to a simulated gas attack during exercise Kamashika Wrath at Haramura Maneuver Area, Japan, Oct. 2, 2017. The exercise allowed Marines to test mission performance and meet training requirements by placing them in real-world scenarios. The simulated attack gave Marines a chance to put on mission oriented protective posture gear, protecting them from exposure from harmful gases. (U.S. Marine Corps photo by Lance Cpl.
