Soldiers with the 2nd Advise and Assist Brigade, 1st Infantry Division, United States Division - Center, stand in formation after being awarded the Combat Infantryman Badge at Camp Liberty, Iraq, March 27. The badge provides recognition to infantry soldiers who personally engage enemy forces in combat or are engaged by an enemy force. Insurgent forces used an anti-armor hand grenade to attack a convoy in which the soldiers were riding in early March. (U.S. Army photo by Chief Warrant Officer 2 James Smotherman, 2nd AAB, 1st Inf.
