Roeller, a UH-1Y Huey crew chief with Marine Light Attack Helicopter Squadron 169 out of Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton, Calif., removes the jet intake cover from a Huey prior to conducting a mission from Camp Bastion, Afghanistan, April 4. Roeller is a native of Denver, Colo., and his duties as a crew chief include preflight inspections of the aircraft, observing the surrounding terrain and air while in flight, and manning the Huey's door gun.
