Army and Air Force service members from Fort Wainwright and Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson competed on behalf of Team Alaska at the 33rd Annual Army Ten-Miler Oct. 8 in Washington, D.C. Despite extreme heat and humidity that caused the race to be downgraded from competitive to recreational status, the USARAK Men's team improved their performance over last year and finished in fifth place out of 33 teams, having placed in sixth place in 2016.
