    3d U.S. Infantry Regiment “The Old Guard”

    Soldiers assigned to the Fife and Drum Corps and Continental Color Guard, 3d U.S. Infantry Regiment (The Old Guard), participate in the Yorktown Day Parade in Yorktown, Va. On Oct. 19, 1781 Gen. Charles Cornwallis surrendered to Gen. George Washington and the French Fleet at the Battle of Yorktown during the Revolutionary War. This British Defeat would prove to be a vital win effectively ending the War. Each year the citiznes of Yorktown gather to celebrate the American Victory at Yorktown.
