From left to right, Staff Sgt. Matthew Hebl and Staff Sgt. Luke Christians, both of the 815th Engineer Company, and Chris Denis, of the Cass County Sheriff's Department, wade into the home of World War II veteran Obert Tenold April 9, near Harwood, N.D. The three are initially checking to see how Tenold is doing, and later determined that Tenold would need assistance to evacuate his home. The Soldiers and deputy scrambled from the Harwood Community Center quick response force location to assist the elderly man. As of April 9, about 480 N.D. Air and Army Guardsmen are conducting flood operations.
