The Minnesota National Guard has deployed a Remote Communications Platform to the Moorhead area recently. The platform, or RCP, provides and extends communication capabilities to emergency response personnel and is being operated by Air National Guard members through a joint mission in support of the Red River flood response. Air Force Staff Sgt. Joshua R. Niesen, from Prior Lake, Minn., is a member of the 210th Engineering Installation Squadron and on the team established to deploy and operate the RCP in the Red River Valley. He can be seen here operating the component of the RCP that can bridge multiple communications systems.
