U.S. Airmen from the 17th Special Operations Squadron and 18th Logistics Readiness Squadron participated alongside their forward air refueling point (FARP) counterparts from the Australian Army 6th Aviation Regiment to refuel five HH-60 Blackhawks from the 6th Aviation Assault Force July 17, 2017, at Mackay Field, Australia. The combined training exercise marked the first-time rapid ground refueling procedures from the U.S. Air Force MC-130J Commando II have been used with a Pacific theater partner.
