Soldiers with U.S. Army Japan and Japanese Ground Self Defense Force members remove debris from the outside of a school building in north eastern Japan, April 6. Soldiers and Marines along with Japanese Ground Self Defense Forces and Japanese Air Self Defense Forces scraped sludge and removed debris with assistance from locals in hopes of reopening the school within a few weeks. The school and local community were left devastated after the level 9.1 earthquake and the subsequent tsunami.
