Volunteers from The Basic School's Marine Action Group, Marine Corps Base Quantico provide support in developing the Paws for Purple Hearts canines through basic handling skills, exercise, and cleanliness in Ruther Glen, VA, Oct. 4, 2017. Paws for Purple Hearts was created to better the lives of America’s warriors living with mobility challenges, trauma related conditions such as post traumatic stress disorder and traumatic brain injuries, by providing service dogs and canine assisted therapeutic programs.
