U.S. Army Sgt. Joseph Cortese, the Network Operations noncommissioned officer in charge assigned to Charlie Company, 44th Expeditionary Signal Battalion, 2nd Theater Signal Brigade, monitors the status of network and the unit's signal assemblages supporting the reception, staging, onward movement and integration, or RSOI, process for regionally allocated forces deploying into and out of the European theater for Operation Atlantic Resolve, Sept. 9, 2017 near Zagan, Poland. In addition to the RSOI mission, Cortese is monitoring assemblages in three other countries providing communications support to Operation Atlantic Resolve and exercise Bayonet Shield.
