Soldiers assigned to 1st Battalion, 168th Aviation Regiment conduct medical triage training at the Gulfport Combat Readiness Training Center in Gulfport, Mississippi during exercise Southern Strike 18 Oct. 24, 2017. Southern Strike 18 is a total force, multi-service training exercise hosted by the Mississippi Air National Guard's Combat Readiness Training Center in Gulfport, Mississippi from Oct. 23 through Nov. 3, 2017. The exercise emphasizes air-to-air, air-to-ground and special operations forces training opportunities. These events are integrated into demanding hostile and asymmetric scenarios with actions from specialized ground forces and combat and mobility air forces.
