PACIFIC OCEAN (Oct. 27, 2017) Chief Warrant Officer 4 Todd Ferrari, assigned to the amphibious transport dock ship USS Anchorage (LPD 23), observes a landing craft air cushion (LCAC) assigned to Assault Craft Unit (ACU) 5 entering the well deck during Dawn Blitz 2017. Dawn Blitz is a scenario-driven amphibious exercise conducted between Expeditionary Strike Group 3 and 1st Marine Expeditionary Brigade, testing their ability to conduct amphibious operations in response to global crisis and project power ashore as part of a Navy-Marine Corps team.
