U.S. 5th Fleet Area Of Operations (Oct.28,2017)- A Boeing Insitu ScanEagle unmanned aerial vehicle launches off USS Lewis B. Puller’s flight deck while underway, Oct. 28,2017 . The ScanEagle is deployed aboard USS Puller to assist with reconnaissance, strategic intelligence, and to gather wether data. USS Puller supports Naval Amphibious Force, Task force 51/5th Marine Expeditionary Brigade’s diverse missions that include crisis response, airborne mine countermeasures, counter-piracy operations, maritime security operations and humanitarian aid/disaster relief missions while forward deployed to the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations.
