Water pumps located at the base of the Guajataca Dam are being used to supply water into a 17-mile long water distribution canal. Currently, the 65 cubic feet per second flow of water services about 70,000 residents in the cities of Isabela and Quebradillas. With an added sixth water pump the flow will increase to meet the Puerto Rico Aqueduct and Sewer Authority’s request for 75cfs.
