U.S. Marine Lance Cpl. Harley Smith fills up a generator with gasoline at the Pohakuloa Training Area, on the island of Hawaii, Oct. 29, 2017. Smith is an electrician with Marine Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Squadron 3 and a native of Merritt Island, Fla. VMU-3 conducted aerial surveillance in support of 2nd Battalion, 3rd Marines during Exercise Bougainville II. Exercise Bougainville II prepares 2nd Bn., 3rd Marines for service as a forward deployed force in the Pacific by training them to fight as a ground combat element in a Marine Air-Ground Task Force.
