An MV-22 Osprey carrying Col. Michael Styskal lands at Bradshaw Army Airfield on the Island of Hawaii, Nov. 2, 2017. Col. Styskal is the commanding officer of 3rd Marine Regiment, and a native of Lake Villa, Ill. Col. Styskal came to the Pohakuloa Training Area to review the performance of 2nd Battalion, 3rd Marines, during Exercise Bougainville II. Exercise Bougainville II prepares 2nd Battalion, 3rd Marines for service as a forward deployed force in the Pacific by training them to fight as a ground combat element in a Marine Air-Ground Task Force.
