171104-N-NU281-0080 PEARL HARBOR (Nov. 4, 2017) U.S. President Donald J. Trump waves to service members and members of the media prior to departing Pearl Harbor. The President was in Hawaii to receive a briefing from USPACOM prior to traveling to Japan, the Republic of Korea, China, Vietnam and the Philippines. During the trip, the President will underscore his commitment to longstanding U.S. alliances and partnerships, and reaffirm U.S. leadership in promoting a free and open Indo-Asia-Pacific region. The president’s engagements will strengthen the international resolve to confront the North Korean threat and ensure the complete, verifiable and irreversible denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula.
