171105-N-KT595-004 SAN DIEGO (Nov. 5, 2017) Production crew members and Sailors set up for the filming of ESPN’s “First Take” sports television show aboard the Freedom-class littoral combat ship USS Freedom (LCS 1). The show will be broadcast live and is one of several shows ESPN will air in honor of veterans in anticipation of Veteran’s Day 2017. Freedom is the first ship of the Freedom-class littoral combat ships (LCS) and the third ship of the U.S. Navy to be named for the concept of freedom.
