SPC Matthew Williams from the 2nd Cavalry Regiment engages an aerial target with a Stinger anti-aircraft missle during day one of live fire training as part of exercise Artemis Strike. This was the first time Williams ever engaged a moving target with a live missile and he scored a direct. He was only recently cross trained to become a Stinger missleman at Grafenwoehr, Germany. Members of 2CR from Vilseck, Germany, 173rd Infantry Combat Team (Airborne) from Vicenza, Italy, the 10th Army Air Defense Missile Command from Kaiserslautern, Germany, and the 32nd Army Air Defense Missile Command from Fort Bragg, North Carolina, USA, are taking part in the multinational training exercise being held at the NATO Missile Firing Installations on Crete.
