Accolades for Ninewa’s progress: Maj. Gen. David Perkins, commanding general of U.S. Division-North and 4th Infantry Division, speaks to hundred of Iraqi residents in attendance at a program to mark security progress and a promising future for Ninewa province. Established in 2008, the Ninewa Operations Command, which oversees Iraqi Army operations throughout the province, coordinated the event and also displayed more than 100 images depicting strides made in security over the past three years.
