U.S. and Armed Forces of the Philippines Marines perform kicks while their instructor, Staff Sgt. Ritchie R. Garciano, supervises during Pekiti Tirsia Kali training during Exercise Balikatan 2011 here April 11. The two nations exchanged martial arts as part of Balikatan 2011’s martial arts exchange. Balikatan is an annual bilateral training exercise between U.S. forces and the AFP to maintain operational readiness and strengthen the U.S. and Philippine relationship.
