Army Reserve Lt. Col. Priscilla Van Zanten, left, 85th Support Command, receives a hug from her eldest daughter, Brianna, at a Veteran’s Day ceremony in Buffalo Grove on Nov. 11, 2017. A majority of Van Zanten’s family attended the ceremony to support her as she spoke in front of nearly 200 people about the history of Veteran’s Day, the changing Army Reserve, and the importance of supporting those who have served and continue to serve our country. Many members of Van Zanten’s family, including Brianna, shared how proud they were to see Van Zanten representing the men and women who wear the service uniform.
