It’s a multigenerational remembrance in Scherwiller, France, a town liberated by the 103rd Infantry Division on Dec. 1, 1944. The town dedicated a memorial the 103rd in a ceremony on the morning of Saturday Nov. 11, 2017, commemorating the historic event; and hosted a dinner and gift presentation in honor of the few surviving members of the 103rd who attended the day’s proceedings.
