Alaska Army National Guard wheeled vehicle mechanics Sgt. Kin Shaw, left, with the 297th Forward Support Company, and Spc. Brodie Smith with the 207th Engineer Utilities Detachment, participate in a field demonstration using the new Hydraulic, Electric, Pneumatic, Petroleum Operated Equipment system at the Engineer Training Facility at Camp Carroll on Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, Alaska, Sept. 27, 2017. The HEPPOE system contains hydraulic pneumatic tools to saw, bend, cut, and destroy concrete, rebar, trees, and other debris. The new equipment will help the 207th EUD accomplish construction projects both downrange and in garrison, and is an added response capability when tasked with defense support to civil authorities’ missions.
