Daniel Christian, acting commander of the 412th Theater Engineer Command, Vicksburg, Miss., unfurls his new two-star flag in his promotion and oath of office ceremony at the Illinois monument in the Vicksburg National Military Park, during his assumption of command ceremony Nov. 18, 2017 . Christian was promoted to the rank of major general and officially took charge in the ceremony . Christian comes from the 95th Training Division and Assistant Division Commander at Fort Sill, Okla. to replace Maj. Gen. Tracy Thompson as commander of the Command.
