A C-130H Hercules from the 302nd Airlift Wing, Colorado Springs Air Force Reserve, breaks out of formation to link up with a lead plane over the Deaton Cole wildfire in Val Verde County, Texas, April 29. The C-130s are equipped with the Modular Airborne Firefighting System which is capable of dispensing 3,000 gallons of water or fire retardant in under 5 seconds. Wildfires have spread across various parts of Texas and have burned more than 1.5 million acres since January.
