SAN DIEGO (Nov. 19, 2017) - Capt. Mark Hazenburg, former commanding officer of Undersea Rescue Command (URC), provides an interview with ABC News 10 San Diego at Marine Corps Air Station Miramar during URC's mobilization to Argentina in support of search and rescue operations for Argentine submarine ARA San Juan, Nov. 19. URC is deploying two rescue assets, the Submarine Rescue Chamber (SRC) and the Pressurized Rescue Module (PRM). The URC Sailors deploying with the rescue systems are highly trained and routinely exercise employing the advanced technology in submarine rescue scenarios. U.S. Air Force C-17 "Globemaster" IIIs and C-5 "Galaxies" from Travis Air Force Base, Calif. and Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, Alaska, are transporting the equipment from Marine Corps Air Station Miramar, Calif. to Comodoro Rivadavia, Argentina.
