U.S. Army Command Sgt. Maj. Marvin L. Hill, International Security Assistance Force and United States Forces – Afghanistan senior enlisted advisor, speaks with soldiers of the 656th Transportation Company during a battlefield circulation to the base in Southern Afghanistan, April 29, 2011. Hill spoke extensively with service members and stressed the importance of each day in Afghanistan, combat vigilance and safety discipline. He also took time out of the day to award service members for their outstanding contributions to coalition partnership efforts, counter insurgency and humanitarian missions throughout the country. The visit was coordinated by Joint Sustainment Command – Afghanistan comprised of the 184th Expeditionary Sustainment Command, a Mississippi Army National Guard unit headquartered in Laurel, Miss. The unit has been deployed to Afghanistan since early October in support of logistics operations for Operation Enduring Freedom.
