Al Tucker Jr.'s flight logbook, that shows his first flights with First Sgt. David Brown, Air Force Reserve, in 2008, is kept in Tucker's pilot locker in Brown's hanger at Warrenton-Fauquier Airport in Warrenton, Va., Jul. 20, 2017. Brown, who has been flying since he was a teenager and began working at the Flying Circus Aerodrome in Bealeton, Va., has been allowing Tucker, now 96, to fly his PT-17 Stearman biplane for nearly 10 years. The plane is the same model in which Tucker trained in 1942 before going on to fly P-38 fighter aircraft over Europe during WWII with his friend, then Lt. Robin Olds. (U.S. Air Force photo by J.M.
