Air Commandos with the 801st Special Operations Aircraft Maintenance Squadron await the
arrival of an 8th Special Operations Squadron CV-22 Osprey tiltrotor aircraft at Hurlburt Field,
Fla., Oct. 23, 2017. The Osprey combines the vertical takeoff, hover and vertical landing
qualities of a helicopter with the long-range, fuel efficiency and speed characteristics of a
turboprop aircraft.
