Members of a visit, board, search and seizure team from the guided-missile destroyer USS Bainbridge apprehended seven Somali pirates and released 15 Pakistani crew members off the coast of Somalia. The Pakistani master of the vessel claimed to have been pirated and used as a mother ship for more than six months. The boarding team found seven loaded AK47 assault rifles, two rocket-propelled grenade launchers, seven projectiles, and several ammunition canisters, ladders and grappling hooks. The boarding team disposed of the pirate paraphernalia and weapons. (U.S. Navy photo by Chief Petty Officer Deshonia Wesley)
