Combat Engineers with Marine Wing Support Squadron 373, Special Purpose Marine Air-Ground Task Force – Crisis Response – Central Command standby while Explosive Ordnance Disposal clears the simulated Improvised Explosive Device during a SweepEx conducted while in the Middle East Nov. 3, 2017. They cleared a road using CMD metal detectors to locate simulated Improvised Explosive Devices. This training ensures the Marines hone and maintain their skills in case the SPMAGTF-CR-CC needs them to clear a runway or helipad in order to safely land aircraft.
