Lifting a frame for a new building in the middle of the night

Petty Officer 3rd Class Bernard Barbuto and Seaman Anthony Evangelista prepare to lift a frame that will support a door on the k-span building that Naval Mobile Construction Battalion 3 is building during night time operations here in Camp Krutke, the Seabee camp within Camp Leatherneck. The building will be used as a tool warehouse for the Seabees and will replace three tents that they have been working out of for the past two years. Because the temperature in Afghanistan is rapidly exceeding 100 F some of the large projects that the Seabees are working on are being worked in the cool of night instead of day time, this is to eliminate or minimize any chance of heat injuries. NMCB 3 is an expeditionary element of U.S. Naval Forces providing construction, engineering and security services in support of national strategy, naval power projection, humanitarian assistance and contingency operations.
