An U.S. Air Force A-10 Thunderbolt II pilot, currently assigned to the 332nd Air Expeditionary Wing, receives fuel over Iraq from a KC-10 Extender, Nov. 29, 2017. The A-10 has a wide combat radius and short takeoff and landing capability allowing for it to permit operations in and out of locations near front lines.
