Maj. Gen. Melvin Spiese, the deputy commanding general of the 1st Marine Expeditionary Force, speaks with the Concussion Restoration Care Center medical staff and 2nd Marine Logistics Group (Forward) personnel during his visit to their new facility May 8. Wounded Warrior care remains a top priority for senior military and government officials alike. The CRCC was also recently visited by Dr. Jonathan Woodson, the Assistant Secretary of Defense for Health Affairs, John R. Campbell, the deputy under Secretary of Defense for Wounded Warrior Care, and Lt. Gen. Thomas Waldhauser, the commander of Marine Corps Forces Central Command. In addition to concussion care, the facility also specializes in muscle skeletal injuries and mental health care.
