    The Coast Guard remembered the crew of the Coast Guard Cutter White Alder during the 49th Anniversary Memorial Ceremony at the U.S.S. Kidd Veterans Museum in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, December 7, 2017. On this day, 49 years ago, 17 Coast Guardsmen persished when the White Alder sank in the lower Mississippi River.
