Oklahoma's newly appointed Adjutant General, Maj. Gen. Michael Thompson, gives his remarks after the change of command ceremony at the Norman Armed Forces Reserve Center in Norman, Okla., on Dec. 9, 2017. Thompson assumed command of the Oklahoma National Guard from Interim Adjutant General Brig. Gen. Louis Wilham. Governor Mary Fallin appointed Thompson on October 19, 2017, to take the top military position effective November 15, 2017.
