Kevin Sparks, an Assault Amphibious Vehicle mechanic with Combat Logistics Regiment 35, 3rd Maintenance Battalion, 3rd Marine Logistics Group, fires his weapon during the Far East Annual Marksmanship Competition on Camp Hansen, Okinawa, Japan, on Dec. 8, 2017. The purpose of the competition is to improve the marksmanship, proficiency, and combat readiness of the Marine Corps as well as provide an opportunity to win a reward and advance to the Marine Corps Championship in Quantico, Virginia.
