ANNAPOLIS, Md.—Command Sgt. Major Thomas Beyard, Senior Enlisted Advisor for the Maryland National Guard, addresses attendees of the Cyber and Information Operations Symposium held at the Annapolis Readiness Center here on Nov. 19. With Maryland’s new Army Cyber Protection Team and the 110th IO Battalion’s regular deployments to the Horn of Africa, Maryland National Guard units contribute key capabilities to the Total Army to face threats in the information environment and cyber domain. This year’s first-ever symposium provided an opportunity for experts in these fields to share information and build relationships as they work together to meet the unique challenges of today’s threat environment.
