SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico - USACE officials oversee delivery of 894 steel, wood and concrete power and distribution poles. San Juan port employees off loaded the poles from the Columbia Baltimore barge. The poles were disseminated to sites throughout the island of Puerto Rico for installation. The power system was severely damaged when hurricanes Irma and Maria hit the islands. 9,797 poles have been delivered as of 14 December 2017.
